Why Charter ?
Chartering allows you to plan your travel requirements to incorporate flexibility, efficiency, privacy, cost comparisons, remote locations or a rapid response to an unexpected travel need.
The 2005 King Air 350 provides all the benefits of technology, performance upgrades and comfort / noise improvements. Once you have flown in this superb aircraft you will realise how far behind the aircraft of the seventies and eighties are and unlike the rest the King Air is still in production.
Of course this outstanding aircraft does not always suit our Clients needs. You could use the Hawker XP business jet for example. Other aircraft are available such as the 2004 model King Air 200, the Citation Bravo, Cessna Caravan or smaller piston aircraft.
Most of the "general aviation" fleet in Australia were manufactured prior to 1982. This corresponds with the cessation of the "investment allowance" for new aircraft and the downward movement of the Australian dollar.
It is becoming very difficult to source good quality piston engined aircraft. We are almost at the stage of withdrawing from this market sector but with planning suitable aircraft can be provided. Don't chase the cheapest price!
You can maximise passenger comfort and aircraft range / performance / safety by only taking those passengers that need to go.
Many clients require two pilots for their flights. This providing a low cost safety advantage.
Pilots are rostered for 11 hours with 1 hour taken up with pre / post flight duties leaving a 10 hour block available. Subtract the flight times from this to ascertain your available site time. A longer period can be arranged by utilising a " CASA Part 48 Exemption". Some restrictions and extra costs are involved.
The Carriers Liability Act limits passenger liability on Airline or Charter flights to $500,000 seat. Talk to your insurance advisor on policy options for additional cover.
Used correctly " air charter " can be highly effective.
